A warning light can have many possible causes. We read your vehicle's computer codes, then test the related parts to confirm what's actually wrong, so the repair fixes the real problem the first time. You get a clear explanation and an estimate before we repair anything.

Questions

Can't I just get the code read at a parts store?

A code tells you which system reported a problem, not which part failed. A misfire code, for example, can come from a spark plug, an ignition coil, a fuel injector or a vacuum leak. We test to find the actual cause, so you don't pay for parts you didn't need.

Is it safe to drive with the check engine light on?

If the light is flashing, or the vehicle is running badly, stop driving and call us: a flashing light usually means a misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. If it's on steadily and the vehicle drives normally, book a check soon.

What does the ABS light mean?

Your normal brakes still work, but the anti-lock system is switched off. It can also affect traction control, stability control and 4x4 systems, so have it checked soon.
