Questions

What should I do if my engine overheats?

Pull over somewhere safe and turn the engine off. Don't open the radiator cap while it's hot. Driving with an overheating engine can cause serious damage, so call us or arrange a tow.

When does a timing belt need replacing?

It depends on the engine. Most manufacturers say somewhere between about 100,000 and 170,000 km; your owner's manual has the exact interval, or ask us. On many engines a broken timing belt causes major damage, so it's worth replacing on schedule.
