Salvage Vehicle Inspection
The inspection a rebuilt salvage vehicle needs before it can be registered in Alberta.
In Alberta, a vehicle with a salvage status, usually after an insurance write-off, has to pass a salvage vehicle inspection before it can be registered and driven again. We inspect the repairs and the safety of the whole vehicle against the provincial standard, then complete the inspection report for the registry.

Questions
What's the difference between salvage and non-repairable?
A salvage vehicle can be rebuilt and returned to the road once it passes this inspection. A non-repairable vehicle can only be used for parts and can't be registered again.
Why do I need the parts receipts?
They show where the parts used in the rebuild came from, which is part of the inspection.
