Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVIP)
Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program inspections for trucks, vans, medium-duty vehicles and trailers.
Alberta requires many commercial vehicles to pass a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) inspection on a regular schedule. We inspect trucks, vans, medium-duty vehicles and trailers against the CVIP standard, and once a vehicle passes, it gets its inspection decal.
Book this if
- Your commercial vehicle's CVIP inspection is due
- You bought a commercial vehicle that needs an inspection
What's included
- A full CVIP inspection to the provincial standard
- The inspection decal and paperwork when the vehicle passes
- A clear list of anything that must be fixed to pass, and repairs if you want them
Questions
Does my vehicle need CVIP?
It depends on the vehicle type and its registered weight. The Government of Alberta sets the rules; call us and we'll help you check.
How often is it needed?
It depends on the vehicle. Most need it at least once a year, and some more often.
